We are The Night Blooms

The Night Blooms are the synth project of San Diego duo, Timothy McCann and Steven Hilferty. This is the third project they have worked together on since 2016, beginning with VoiceActor- a post-punk synth project led by Timothy as lead vocalist and Steven on bass.

Currently, the two are also involved in a 60’s Mod-revival group called Thee Seretones. The Night Blooms is their first project featuring just the two of them as musicians, lyricists, and co-producers. Climaxes of Failure is their debut single on an upcoming EP “Eternally Only” projected to be released this winter.

They draw inspiration from vintage textures and sounds from bands like New Order, Joy Division, and Black Marble to name a few. Timothy describes The Night Blooms as “the feeling of despair and abandon with sparks of optimism because the night blooms, but sometimes it doesn’t.”
